Vine Online - Details - Site Organization |
![]() As you
add pages to your website, you will quickly find that you can organize them
into branches similar to organizing topics into chapters in a book. Without that structure, the web site is
difficult to maintain and difficult for users to navigate. One of the key differences between the Vine
Online and other web site software is the way that pages are organized. This was done intentionally so that each
ministry can have it's own set of pages.
For example, if the women's ministry would like to create a page to
advertize an upcoming retreat, and then add a photo gallery after the event to
help people remember what they learned, both those pages can be put into the
women's ministry branch. This is really cool Now, if the
youth group also has a photo gallery for their weekly youth night and the
missions team has a photo gallery for a missionary family, those are all
separate Gallery Components. Therefore,
the women's ministry can grant access to the gallery for the retreat without
impacting or granting access to the other galleries. That principle is true for all the pages in the Vine Online. Even the Calendar works this way. The Women's ministry can have it's own calendar and have the events roll up to the master calendar if they want to.
